Lynda Rolph (Head of Programs)
Lynda Rolph

I'm Lynda, Head of Programs at Traidhos Three Generation Community for Learning. I grew up in the London Borough of Harrow and trained as a primary teacher.

After nine years I exchanged my London classroom for Traidhos Three Generation Community for Learning Chiang Mai. I enjoy camping, hiking, and cooking out of-doors and am a volunteer with Girl Guides Thailand. I enjoy exploring new places.

I have worked for the Barge Program since April 2000. In that time I have seen the program grow and have worked with many interesting people. I believe our programs are valuable in letting young people get in-touch with the natural world and with real issues.

I love being on the Barge or in the forest and watching young people experience hands-on learning.

My fascination with ecology and the environment began when I was a young child and was fueled by my parent’s passion for conservation. I was taken on countless camping, hunting and other outdoor trips where I was able to fully explore the natural environment around me.

I love traveling and exploring new cultures and have had the privilege of working in various states across the USA as well as in Australia, Virgin Islands and now Thailand!

Chris Steel
Chris Steel

Hi, my name’s Chris and I’m from the UK.

I really enjoy working with young people and challenging them to explore the effects of their actions on the environment, and encouraging them to make sustainable lifestyle choices.

I have a background in teaching Physics in secondary schools, and leading the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. I love being outside in the natural environment, hiking, cycling or carrying out practical conservation work.

This passion led me to work part-time, so I could volunteer at local nature reserves and a community allotment. In 2009 I moved to London to work in The Royal Parks, teaching children and their families how to grow their own organic food, and the benefits of doing so.

Most recently, I volunteered as a trainee warden on the small island of Flat Holm, in the Bristol Channel, carrying out conservation tasks and educating school groups and the general public about sustainable living and the island’s history.

Now I am excited to be a part of the Barge Program, working with young people in the best way possible - providing a truly hands-on, life-long learning experience. I look forward to inspiring your group!

I’m so excited to be working for the Traidhos Three-Generation Barge Program and am really looking forward to learning more about the people, places and stunning natural environments Thailand has to offer. I look forward to meeting you on the barge and sharing all of this with you soon!

Hi! I’m Chrissie, from the UK. I’m the intern for the senior cluster of the Barge Program.

Back home in 2008 I graduated with a degree in Animal Management, during which I spent a lot of time flying out to Thailand to work with elephants. From that point I fell in love with Thailand, the animals, culture and people.

After returning home I took an internship with the World Society for the Protection of Animals in London working within the disaster management department, but I was also lucky enough to be sent to work in Bangkok for a while.

Since finishing my internship I taught practical animal management and husbandry at an agricultural college in the UK, but forever longed to find the perfect outdoor teaching job and return back to Thailand….so here I am!!

I’m really excited to be working with the barge program this year and can’t wait to share the fun of learning with you!
Ka-Tai
Ka-Tai

Hi! My name is Jutamast Siritewankun. You can call me 'Ka-Tai'. I graduated from Mahidol University International College majoring in Travel Industry Management in 2010.

During college, I was involved in volunteer camps for 2 years which allowed me to explore the lives of Thai students in the rural side of the country. I have also done research and projects based on eco-tourism and environmental awareness.

Working with Traidhos Three Generation Barge Program is another challenge to discover and encourage kids to conserve the environment through outside- school activities, giving them awareness of the limited of environment.

I am glad to be a part of this program to lead our new generation to realize the importance of our environment.
