Each year we welcome over 2,500 students and staff from schools worldwide.
17 - 20 January 2017
For the students of Tara Patana International School it was the the first time they had ever been camping. On arriving at Khao Kitichikut National Park they soon go used to the routine of living under canvas.
The following morning the students woke to a dawn chorus of the many species of birds in the national park. We then travelled to Kung Krabane to learn about the mangroves and the conservation of marine life in that area.
The following day the students helped a Suan Kaset a local project promoting organic farming with the cultivation of mushrooms and got their hands dirty on the farm helping to sow a crop of morning glory and remove the weeds around the crops.
On returning to the camp they took a walk through the forest and cooled off by swimming in the waterfall and having a free fish footspa from the fish nibbling at their toes.
