Aus Stan (Erin Stanley) Head of Barge Program
Stan

I am from Australia, but love Thailand after having worked here in 2003. I finished my Bachelor of Applied Science, majoring in Environmental and National Park Management in 2006 and have since worked in Thailand.

In my eighth year at Barge Program I am taking on the role as Head of Barge Program. I am looking forward to this new role while still being an active part of the teaching team on our many trips. I am interested in sharing about environmental education and sustainability and hope to develop this interest in others.

I look forward to welcoming you to the Barge Program soon.

Th Pa (Supitcha Kiatprajak) Thai Coordinator / Environmental Educator
Pa

Sa-wad-dee ka everyone... my name is Pa, one of the Three Generation Barge Program team. This year is the fourth year of me with Barge which I still enjoy every moment of the trips as I love to work in nature and different environments.

I have a degree in Environmental Education (MEd) and had worked with communities and wildlife. I would like to always share my experiences with others and to see everyone help each other to sustain our natural resources, other creatures and our world.

I am easy going, and would like to be a risk taker of things I never done before. I love traveling and love all kind of outdoor activities. Moreover, I love art, music and puppets.

I look forward to share knowledge, experience and ideas with everyone.

See you on the Barge!

Uk Lou (Louisa Bibby) Coordinator / Environmental Educator
Lou

My name is Louisa but most people call me Lou. I used to live near Manchester where I went to University. I have a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Environmental Science. After graduating I worked as a Countryside Ranger in Wigan for ten years. I taught environmental education to visiting schools and I also led teams of volunteers in habitat management. I also taught local and social history.

I have travelled throughout South East Asia and I love to try new foods - I will try almost anything once. I am really excited to be joining the Barge Program, as I will be able to teach about the natural world and our impact on it in a completely different habitat from what I have previously experienced.

Uk Jen (Jennifer Cooper) Coordinator / Environmental Educator
Jen

I’m absolutely delighted to be a part of the Barge Program. I left work to study for a degree in Wildlife Conservation, which inspired me to undertake a Master’s degree in Environmental Conservation, covering topics from habitat management to environmental ecotoxicology to environmental law. It was whilst working for a habitat management project that I discovered my second passion – teaching. I am a qualified primary teacher and worked initially in East London but was able to escape back to the great outdoors by working for a number of national environmental charities teaching about sustainability issues.

I’m really excited to see all of the wonderful places we visit and learning more about Thailand’s customs and culture.
Uk Kirsty (Kirsty Shakespeare) Coordinator
Kirsty

Having always wanted to work with animals and the natural world, I completed a degree in Zoology at Anglia Ruskin University and studied for my Masters in Ecology Evolution and Conservation at Imperial College London. Throughout university I volunteered on several projects in the UK and abroad working with schools to deliver environmental education, so after graduation it seemed like a natural choice to continue teaching others on subjects I feel passionate about.

Before joining the Barge Program I worked for 4.5 years as the Education Development Officer at The Living Rainforest and Trust for Sustainable Living, a UK based educational sustainability charity, where I ran education programs for over 25,000 school children and 80,000 + public visitors annually.

Outside of work I am a keen nature and wildlife photographer and PADI Advanced scuba diver and have been lucky enough to explore dive sites in Oman, Lanzarote, Egypt, The Seychelles and South Africa.

Uk Robyn Downs General Facilitator
Robyn

My name is Robyn, I am from a small town in Devon within the United Kingdom. I have a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Animal Conservation Science from Plymouth University, where I learnt about science communication, animal behavior as well as sustainability.

After I had graduated from university, I participated in Camp America in the summer of 2015, where I taught animal care and environmental issues including the growing of your own food. This increased my passion to work alongside children and teach them about environmental issues all over the world.

I am looking forward to passing on the knowledge of my own experiences, as well as expanding my knowledge from others, on the importance of protecting our environment through my facilitating role in the Traidos Three-Generation Barge Program.
