Each year we welcome over 2,500 students and staff from schools worldwide.
Bromsgrove Year 5 joined us for some fun on the barge and a visit to Ayutthaya.
Our first day had everyone’s favourite activity – swimming and canoeing. With everyone jumping in and getting wet there was lots of excitement especially in dodging the water hyacinth after finding out how many different macro-invertebrates it housed!! We ended the day playing stepping stones, although half the group got left behind!
The next morning everyone got their hands muddy making traditional Ayutthaya-style bricks, before actually arriving at Ayutthaya. The first excitement was travelling on the brightly coloured tuk-tuks, with the boys avoiding the pink one! We enjoyed our visit to the Historical Studies Centre and exploring Wat Phra Sri Sanphet and Wat Chai Wattanaram. The evening was spent enjoying star gazing and finding out about the story of Orion so we know what to look out for in the night sky in the future!
On our final morning we were up early having hot chocolate with a beautiful sunrise before heading to Pathum Thani to find exciting things for breakfast. There was quite a range from all the different groups and not much left at the end as we were all hungry!! After learning a bit more about the river we waved goodbye!
