Kanchanaburi
Day 1:
Kanchanaburi! Our home for the next few days.
Ambling across the famous Bridge over the River Kwae and
Nervously interviewing the curator of a local museum and studying all their amazing artefacts.
Day 2:
Challenging ourselves to identify items in an ‘archaeological’ dig in a box,
Haggling for souvenirs at the Tham Krasae Market and visiting the cave temple, then off to stand in
Awe at Hellfire Pass; creating thoughtful poetry to honour those who lost their lives.
Day 3:
Nipping along the river in a longtail boat to then
Ascend the stairs to Lawa Caves – they are so amazing and
Beautiful. Next stop –Sai Yok National Park for a trail, learning games and environmental art!
Day 4:
Urgently working as a team to win Gutterball before
Returning to the city to visit the Thailand – Burma Railway Centre and Donrak Cemetry:
Imagining the heartbreak of those left behind.
