Barge Water-testing Trip
A busy, yet enjoyable day was instore for the year 13 students of Bangkok Patana as they boarded the Barge to assess the water quality of the Chao Phraya River.
Using a range of scientific standard techniques including chemical, qualitative and quantitative methods the students analysed nine key parameters to assess the health of the river, these parameters were as follows:
Macroinvertebrate species found on water hyacinth in the study area were also assessed.
The results of this study produced some interesting results and allowed the students to understand the current issues and potential future threats to the health of the Chao Phraya River.
