Despite using salt every day in our cooking, many people know very little about the harvesting of this natural resource. Not so for the students from three Bangkok campuses from SISB who joined the Barge Program for a school trip to the salt Farm area of Samut Songkram. During the day students tried out using the salt harvesting tools, found out about the goddess of salt and used salt to preserve eggs, make body scrub and to freeze ice lollies.
On day two, students investigated the nature around their school grounds, considered bird adaptations and had fun playing team building games.
