Old meets new at the Buffalo Village, Suphanburi with Byron House from Harrow School
Staff and students had the opportunity to discover old traditions and learn about how farming techniques have changed. This gave them an insight into how the staple food of rice has been farmed of hundreds of years.
In addition, the buffalos stole the show by demonstrating their strength and adaptability in aiding the Thai farmers to cultivate their land and grow rice. Not only were students and staff able to ride these magnificent creatures, they also had the opportunity to guide the buffalo using traditional ploughs around fields before planting rice.
Students and staff worked in teams to learn new skills, and old traditions, supporting each other to achieve.
