Each year we welcome over 2,500 students and staff from schools worldwide.
20-22 January 2020
These words some up an amazing three days we had with ELC in Kanchanaburi. We fitted in so much variety into just a few days!
We visited Ourland and explored the jungle, had a lesson learning all about snakes and snake venom, and then spent the evening learning about conservation and sustainability. We then switched it up and learned some history with a visit to the Thailand Burma Railway Centre, and then visited the cemetery learning all about the struggles the prisoners of war faced. Next we took a trip to the bridge over the River Kwai, explored the bridge and students did some amazing watercolor paintings of the bridge. Afterwards it was time to put on our detective hats and become archaeologists. We played dig in a box uncovering some artefacts which told us all about the history of where we were digging. That night we had a campfire, roasted some marshmallows and had some incredible performances from students! The last day we switched it up again and participated in community service, we built bamboo dams and painted our very own bamboo keyring.
Every evening ended with a bit of swimming, a favourite activity for everyone!
So many things in such a short time, thank you ELC for an action packed few days. We hope you had as much fun as we did and we hope to see you all again soon!
