Each year we welcome over 2,500 students and staff from schools worldwide.

Seventy-five students from the International Community School (ICS) came to Bang Pu recreation centre for a day exploring the mangroves. They were using investigating and note taking in order to answer the question “are mangroves important?”.
We had a great day investigating the plants and animals that call Bang Pu home, including a great bird watching session looking at the bird’s adaptations to the mangrove ecosystem. The students got the chance to do a quick litter pick and plant their own mangrove tree to contribute to the ongoing restoration of the area. We also discussed the human impact on mangroves and made our own pledge to the planet. The students came up with some great ideas including more litter picking, refusing single use plastic and recycling more.
